Voluntary Technical Resource

Because of its technical expertise in environmental matters, MUNDELL has been called on by the local and statewide community to help provide voluntary assestance on a number of significant issues from 1995 to the present day. As an active member of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management's Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) Technical Assistance group, MUNDELL helped the State of Indiana craft its new environmental policy that set standards for soil and groundwater cleanups. As a part of the Marion County Wellhead Protection Technical Work Group, MUNDELL provided the technical knowledge necessary to develop a new wellfield protection ordinance for Indianapolis' future drinking water supplies. While on the Indianapolis Brownfields Redevelopment Advisory Group, MUNDELL assested in the development of a technical assestance program for those seeking to bring contaminated properties back into productive use.

MUNDELL also believes in the promotion of interdisciplinary research, education and public service. As such, MUNDELL personnel have served on the Indiana University Purdue University's Center for Earth and Environmental Science (CEES) Advisory Board and the School of Sciences Dean's advisory.
